Laura Lee Green

"Since the age of five, creating art has been a refuge for me.”

Laura Green pursued an education in the arts and became an art instructor for adults and children. After a successful career as an art instructor for over 25 years, Laura chose to further her artistic technical skills. At this time, she is a full-time artist producing a varied and enticing body of work. Laura’s work has garnered recognition and awards both nationally and internationally, including: juried exhibits at San Francisco’s deYoung Museum and Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, Ca., featured as an up-and-coming artist to watch on Artsy.net (world’s largest art database), shown in prominent Bay Area galleries, and has many works in private collections.

Laura's primary medium is assemblage created from found objects, and observers of her art are often inspired to see the world in a different manner. Laura takes real objects and creates fantasy worlds. Some people have been moved to tears and others to laughter by the same work of art! People see something different and most are moved to emotional involvement, which pushes Laura forward in the creative process.
